I am broadly interested in studying the queer culture in India and its representation across media like film, print, and the Internet. I am particularly interested in the politics of visibility within the context of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code that criminalizes male homosexuality in India. I am also interested in related questions of commodifcation in queer cultures, queer bodies and masculinity.
