Research Interests:

I am interested in the movement of cultural texts (including new media, cinema and gaming) between distinct, national/cultural entities and over time. In particular, I look at how texts move between Japan and the United States using concepts related to memory, repetition, translation theory, nationalism, globalization, and (post)modernity.
