Ellen D. Erenea studied at San Diego State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Art in art education and painting. As an artist Ellen works in mixed media from a conceptual base. She first conceives of an idea to be addressed in her art and then she chooses the material that will best express the message.

The issues and ideas that are closest to Ellen's heart include racism, gender issues and dwarfism. Currently, she works at Student Organizations & Leadership Opportunities in the department of Student Affairs as a Program Coordinator. She is a San Diego Native and lives with her husband Stuart in Mira Mesa.
