GAYLE TA
gta@ucsd.edu
Gayle Ta became interested in Chinese brush painting after attending an art exhibit at the UCSD Craft Center in 2004. As she looked at each painting, she became more and more inspired. With no previous art training, she pondered the possibilities.
That same year, she enrolled in the Chinese brush painting class taught by Lucy Wang. It did not take long for her to discover the artist in her. She enjoys painting birds and flowers. Her signature seal in Chinese means “pretty moon”.
Gayle participates in annual art exhibits with the Friends of Chinese Brush and her art work was accepted to be displayed at the San Diego Hospice in January 2009.
Gayle’s educational training is in management science where she earned a B.S. degree at UCSD. She is currently the Strategic Sourcing Principal Analyst for the UCSD Procurement & Contracts department. Her other hobbies and interests include knitting, running, yoga, volunteering and golf.
