Georgia Hoopes has been with UCSD for more than 20 years and is a Computer Resource Specialist at UCSD Health Care’s Cardiac Cath Lab where she has worked for the last 10 years. Georgia is fulfilling a life long dream of being a fine artist. In later life she delighted at every opportunity to travel to the places she had read about in art books. Experiencing the cultures first hand, visiting the antiquities and seeing the master's works at their source was a powerful and moving reality that served as a catalyst and inspiration for her to act on her early daydreams. In 2003 she joined UCSD’s Visual Arts Group and the San Diego Watercolor Society where some of her paintings have been shown.
