Nelda Hann is employed at UCSD in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department. She is co-founder of the UCSD Visual Arts Group along with Patty Arnett. Nelda’s professional background includes almost twenty years as an entrepreneur co-owning an advertising/marketing agency. Nelda has a degree in fine arts and exhibited frequently during her college years. Due to “life happening”… marriage, raising a family, and running a business … Nelda put aside her personal drawing and painting for many years. Six years ago, due to life changes, Nelda started painting and exhibiting again with a passion. She has completed over 60 acrylic abstract paintings using bold primary colors and free flowing lines to express feelings. She says that she never knows exactly what her paintings are going to look like…only what they feel like and what she feels when painting…they become what they want to be and she just goes with the flow….!
