While my research on zombie sexuality in film has been put on hold, I am working on understanding police and military management of hostage situations in terms of visual culture. Fundamentally this is a question of processing theories of visualization and the gaze, caught up in ocularity, into a language of affect where an assemblage makes a site of imagination that treats media as more than extensions of the body, mediations between humans and concepts, or channels for transmission.
