This installation borrows from the form of the new home show room. Here, the quest for a new home (color photos) is juxtaposed both to the actual legend of Helen of Troy and the quest of the Latino immigrants, who serve as day laborers at new home sites (black and white photos). Floor plans of actual model homes sit on the pedestals. Ironically, as depicted in the post cards of Piedras Pintades, down the trail from the Legends subdivision is one the largest pictograph sites in San Diego County.
