NEWSPAPER INTERNS
WANTED For Daily Convention Newspaper In San Diego
We are seeking several
undergraduates or graduate students with journalism experience to
work as reporters, photographers and web specialists on a daily newspaper
at the 2006 national conference of the American Association of School
Administrators, February 23-26, 2006, in San Diego.
Intern reporters will
be assigned to cover speakers and panels on various topics relating
to school leadership and national issues in elementary and secondary
education. Interns also may be asked to proofread camera-ready pages.
Those interested in photography will be assigned to shoot several
events each day. Interns with an interest in web production may be
assigned to assist in the daily updating of the newspaper's online
edition.
Interns will receive bylines
or credit lines on their work in the print and electronic editions.
They will work alongside professional editors and writers. We also
will offer each intern a small honorarium ($75) and provide a complimentary
lunch each day.
Ideal candidates for the
writing positions are those students with deadline reporting experience
and an interest in the subject of education.
