The Department of Communication is committed to helping students with disabilities receive reasonable accommodation to be successful in their departmental coursework.
OSD works with students with documented disabilities to review documentation and determine reasonable accommodations. We encourage students to contact OSD as soon as you become aware of a condition that is disabling. OSD has created new resources in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Student First Steps
It is critical that the student start the Authorization for Accommodation (AFA) process as soon as possible. The first step is to secure an appointment with OSD. Early communication with your instructor (and TA, if applicable) is also important, so that the accommodation may be implemented as quickly as possible.
